Decontamination refers to the process of removing, reducing and/ or preventing the spread of contamination from persons, equipment and/ or other objects or structures.

Contaminants are around us every day. Some are more harmful than others and some are easier to control or irradicate than others. Some of the more common contaminants are bacterial, like C-Diff, a bacteria common in the work place because not everyone has the right level of hygiene or knows how to correctly wash their hands after using the bathroom.

The bacteria is passed easily from person to person or furniture or equipment. This common bacteria can have staff off work for days  with gastro intestinal issues.
Mould spores are another contaminant that may be floating in through an open door/window or via the A/C. If the environment in the work place is conducive to mould growth, like a plant, it will grow and multiply.

Mould can have very serious consequences for anyone with a poor or low immune system.
